Houthi media: Dead, injured in US attack on Sanaa

Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV reported casualties after a US airstrike hit a residential building in Sanaa’s Ma’in district on Sunday.

The attack occurred amid ongoing US military operations against Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen.

The channel also reported two additional US airstrikes near Saada, a northern Yemeni city and key Houthi stronghold.

Last week, US President Donald Trump announced he had ordered military action against the Houthis in response to their activities in the region.

Separately, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed responsibility for a ballistic missile attack on ‘Israel’s’ Ben Gurion Airport, stating that the strike disrupted air traffic for over 30 minutes early Sunday.

Saree also reported that Houthi forces engaged in a prolonged confrontation with the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman and its accompanying warships in the Red Sea, using drones and missiles.

Later reports from Al-Masirah TV indicated further US strikes on Sanaa, though details remain unclear.

Meanwhile, CNN cited a US official on Friday confirming Washington’s decision to send a second aircraft carrier to the Middle East to reinforce the USS Harry S. Truman as American strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen continue.

Houthi sources reported that four people were killed and several others injured in the US airstrike on the Ma’in district residential building in Sanaa.
