‘Israel’ intercepts three rockets fired from Lebanon, retaliates with artillery

The ‘Israeli’ military announced on Saturday that it intercepted three rockets launched from Lebanon, despite an ongoing ceasefire that had led to a relative decrease in hostilities between the two sides.

‘Israeli’ Defense Minister Israel Katz blamed the Lebanese government for the attack, stating that it is responsible for any rocket fire originating from its territory.

“I have instructed the military to respond to the rocket fire from Lebanon,” Katz said.

Shortly after, Lebanese sources reported artillery shelling targeting the outskirts of Arnoun in the town of Yohmor Al-Shaqif in southern Lebanon. Heavy gunfire was also reported towards the towns of Houla and Markaba in southern Lebanon, coinciding with the launch of an artillery shell.

Katz reaffirmed ‘Israel’s’ stance, stating, “We will not allow continued fire from Lebanon on ‘Israeli’ towns in the Galilee.”

Meanwhile, Haaretz, citing the ‘Israeli’ military, reported that the artillery shelling on southern Lebanon is a preliminary response to the rocket fire, with a larger response expected to follow.

This is a developing story.
