“Israeli” aggression enters 243rd day
The “Israeli” aggression on Gaza entered its 243rd day amid international anticipation for reaching a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement.
Early Wednesday, Palestinians were martyred and others injured in a bombing that targeted a house in the Al-Bureij camp and another house in the Al-Maghazi camp in central Gaza.
Several Palestinians were also injured due to “Israeli” targeting of the Zaytoun neighborhood, Deir al-Balah, and sites in the central and western parts of Rafah.
According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, the death toll reached 36,550 Palestinians, mostly women and children, with around 83,000 wounded. Thousands of victims remain under the rubble.
Hamas senior official Osama Hamdan emphasized that the movement cannot agree to an agreement that does not ensure a permanent ceasefire and that the movement’s position on the Israeli occupation is clear: a permanent cessation of hostilities and a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.
Hamdan said during a press conference on Tuesday that the occupation only wants a temporary pause to secure its captives’ release and then resume the war.
He added that there must be a clear response from the occupation by agreeing to a permanent ceasefire and a full withdrawal from Gaza.
He emphasized that without a clear stance from the occupation on being prepared to cease war permanently and withdraw from Gaza, there would be no agreement. He pointed out that the occupation did not propose but objected to the mediators’ proposal.
The “Israeli” Occupation Forces (IOF) reported yesterday that 17 of its soldiers were injured within 24 hours, stating that its forces were conducting an operation in the Al-Bureij camp in the middle of the Strip.
