The Jordanian Armed Forces–Arab Army said Saturday that the Southern Command, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle narcotics using a drone along the country’s western border.
The statement said border guard forces applied rules of engagement after detecting and tracking the drone. It was intercepted and brought down inside Jordanian territory. The seized materials were handed over to the relevant authorities.
