The Cybercrime Unit is actively tracking down individuals behind a series of fabricated videos that defame security and traffic officers, a security source told Roya.
According to the source, the videos spread false information about bizarre or non-existent traffic violations, and some falsely claim that the Traffic Department has deployed drones to issue tickets to drivers.
The source clarified that drones are used to assist the public by identifying areas of traffic congestion and alerting traffic officers, enabling a rapid response to clear roadblocks and ease the flow of vehicles.
The source added that the Public Security Directorate (PSD) has recently noticed a surge in the spread of misleading and offensive videos targeting traffic personnel. In response, the Directorate has taken swift legal action, summoning those responsible for the investigation and preparing to hold them accountable under the law.
