Hot weather forecast in Kingdom’s most regions

Wednesday’s maximum temperatures are expected to exceed their annual averages by a small margin. Therefore, relatively hot weather will prevail in the highlands and plains, while other regions will experience scorching conditions, the Jordan Meteorological Department said in its daily update.

The winds are predicted to be moderate, blowing from the northwest direction, and occasionally active.

A slight drop in mercury levels is expected on Thursday and the coming few days, bringing again normal summer weather to the mountainous areas and plains. However, scorcher weather will continue to bake the Badia regions, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Today’s peak temperatures will be between 29 and 34 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 21 or even 17 degrees in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have sweltering weather, with highs of 41C and lows of 27C.
