Israeli Occupation claims killing of Hezbollah commander Suhail Hussein Husseini in Beirut airstrike
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) announced on Tuesday that it had assassinated Suhail Hussein Husseini, the head of Hezbollah’s General Staff, in a targeted airstrike on Beirut.
The precision strike took place on Monday and directly targeted Husseini in a Beirut neighborhood, according to the IOF. I
In a statement, the IOF claimed that the strike also hit a facility housing Hezbollah’s research and development unit, which is allegedly responsible for the production of precision-guided missiles and the management of weapons storage and transportation in Lebanon.
The operation comes amid ongoing Israeli Occupation airstrikes across multiple regions in Lebanon, as well as renewed efforts by the IOF to conduct ground incursions in southern Lebanon.
