Jordanian Armed Forces issue statement

The Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) said that the Jordanian Eastern Command, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Department, successfully foiled an attempt to infiltrate and smuggle narcotics from Syrian territory early Wednesday morning.

Following intensified search and inspection operations in the area, a significant quantity of drugs was seized and handed over to the relevant authorities – a statement from the JAF’s General Command.

“The Jordanian Armed Forces remain committed to utilizing all their resources and capabilities to forcefully prevent any attempts at infiltration and smuggling in order to maintain the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,” the statement added.
