Syrian tenants shot by landlord for refusing to vacate

Three people of Syrian nationality were injured Sunday following a dispute with the owner of a house in Ma’an, Jordan.

According to a medical source, the three Syrians were shot and their condition was described as moderate.

Eyewitnesses informed Roya that the disagreement arose when the house owner, who rented the property to the Syrians, asked them to vacate.

The tenants declined to comply with the owner’s request, leading to the shooting incident.

A security source confirmed that the perpetrator was arrested and an investigation was opened into the incident.
