Explosives found stored in house in Amman; authorities safely detonate it
The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) stated that explosive experts from the Royal Engineering Corps and security forces dealt with explosive material stored inside a house in the area of “South Marka” in Amman.
Initial investigations indicated a group of individuals had stored quantities of these explosive materials inside the house – after which they were safely detonated on-site by experts after taking all the necessary precautions, including isolating and evacuating the area, according to the PSD’s statement.
No injuries were reported.
The spokesperson added that the case is still under investigation, and details will be released once it’s concluded.
The Public Security Directorate urged everyone to stay away from the house’s location and allow security forces to carry out their work without any disruptions.
