“Israeli army” Chief of Staff warns of “failure in Gaza”
The Chief of General Staff of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), Herzi Halevi, has reportedly warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and “Defense Minister” Yoav Gallant that the “achievements made in the Gaza Strip will decay” and that the IOF might be forced to go back and operate in areas where they have already finished fighting – as reported by Hebrew Channel 13.
Halevi cited the lack of strategy and plan for the “day after” as the reason for the potential failure in the Strip.
“The current achievements of the war are eroding,” one official said, “we fear that Hamas will regroup in the north.”
The Israeli Occupation’s War Cabinet had already had a discussion on the “day after” but it had escalated to a full on confrontation between the ministers and Chief of Staff.
