Authorities urges caution amid heatwave
The Civil Defense Directorate (CDD) issued a crucial advisory to all Jordanians, urging them to be vigilant and closely supervise children, particularly around water bodies such as agricultural ponds and dams.
The warning comes in light of the soaring summer temperatures in Jordan, which lead many people to seek relief near these water sources.
Taking to their official Facebook page, the CDD emphasized the importance of a safe summer and reminded parents and guardians to ensure that children do not engage in any activities near potentially hazardous water bodies.
While these locations may be tempting for recreation and escape from the heat, they can pose significant risks to children’s safety, the CDD stressed.
As families rush to enjoy the summertime, the Civil Defense’s advice serves as a crucial reminder to prioritize the well-being of children and take the necessary precautions to prevent accidents and tragedies near water areas.
