Day 379: Israeli Occupation aggression on Gaza escalates following Sinwar’s martyrdom

The Israeli Occupation’s military campaign in Gaza entered its 379th day, with a major escalation following the death of Yahya Sinwar, Hamas’ political bureau chief.

Khalil Al-Hayya, a senior Hamas leader in Gaza, confirmed that Sinwar was killed in fierce combat with the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in southern Gaza on Wednesday.

Furthermore, IOF airstrikes targeted Jabalia camp and northern Gaza, cutting off communication and internet services. This blackout worsened the humanitarian crisis, making it nearly impossible for residents to call for help or document the unfolding violence.

Jabalia camp, under siege for 14 consecutive days, has become the center of heavy bombardment, with the IOF advancing from several directions. A deadly airstrike at Nassar Junction in the camp killed 33 people, including 21 women, and left over 70 injured. The death toll is expected to rise, according to Gaza’s Government Media Office.

Additionally, “Israeli” authorities requested a second THAAD missile defense system from the US, according to “Israel’s” Channel 12. This move comes amid concerns over potential Iranian retaliation following anticipated “Israeli” strikes.

The Pentagon confirmed it will send advanced air defense batteries along with US personnel to operate them.

The THAAD system, which enhances the capabilities of the existing Patriot defense network, can intercept targets up to 200km away.

In a parallel escalation, Hezbollah launched attacks on “Israeli” positions in northern Haifa, Acre, and the occupied Golan Heights in retaliation for “Israeli” aggression.

The IOF reported serious injuries to three commandos and a Golani Brigade officer during clashes in southern Lebanon. To bolster its defenses, “Israel” deployed an additional reserve brigade to the northern front, indicating the potential for further aggression along the border.
