Social Security Corporation warns citizens

The Social Security Corporation has denied claims circulating on social media regarding the possibility of receiving payments via electronic wallets.

It confirmed that all benefits are exclusively transferred through bank accounts, whether beneficiaries are in or outside Jordan.

The corporation urged citizens, subscribers, and retirees to rely on official channels for information, including its website (www.ssc.gov.jo), verified social media accounts, or contact centers (117117 and 065008080).

It also announced ongoing efforts to shut down fake accounts in coordination with the Ministry of Digital Economy and promised legal action against those spreading false information.

Additionally, the corporation warned the public against interacting with suspicious links or requests for personal information or payments under the pretense of updating electronic wallets, echoing a recent warning from the Central Bank.
