Israeli Occupation’s aggression on Gaza continues for 307th day
Israeli Occupation’s assault on the Gaza Strip has entered its 307th day, with intensified bombardment targeting central and northern areas of the strip.
Amid the ongoing conflict, Palestinian resistance forces announced the production of new weapons during the 10-month-long war waged by the occupation.
In the West Bank, fierce clashes erupted between resistance fighters and Israeli occupation forces as they stormed Balata refugee camp in the city of Nablus. Three Palestinians were injured during a separate raid on Askar refugee camp in Nablus.
Prisoner Swap Deal in the Works
US State Department has confirmed that the Middle East is experiencing sensitive times with heightened tensions, warning that any escalation will only worsen the situation.
The State Department revealed updates on the ongoing ceasefire negotiations in Gaza, stating, “We are in the final stages of reaching a prisoner exchange deal.”
The US stressed that Yahya Sinwar, the head of Hamas’ political bureau, is the key decision-maker for the movement, even before the martyrdom of the former political bureau chief, Ismail Haniyeh. Sinwar will ultimately decide whether to accept the deal or not.
“We want to reach an agreement, but at the same time, we believe it is necessary to hold Sinwar accountable for his actions,” the State Department said.
White House Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby confirmed that Washington is in talks with its partners to finalize a ceasefire deal and secure the release of detainees.
Kirby emphasized that neither Washington nor its regional partners seek further escalation or an expansion of the war.
Operation Aqsa Typhoon
On October 7, Hamas’ military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, launched Operation Aqsa Typhoon in response to Israeli Occupation violations in the occupied Palestinian territories.
In retaliation, the Israeli Occupation launched a military operation against Gaza named “Iron Swords,” conducting a series of intense airstrikes on various areas of the Strip. The airstrikes have resulted in hundreds of martyrs and thousands of injuries, in addition to the destruction of numerous buildings, residential towers, institutions, and infrastructure.

According to the Israeli Occupation army, 4,272 soldiers have been injured since the beginning of the assault on Gaza. Of these, 637 are in critical condition, 1,074 sustained moderate injuries, and 2,561 suffered minor injuries.
