Israeli Occupation’s aggression in Gaza continues for 306 days

Israeli Occupation’s aggression on the Gaza Strip has entered its 306th day, continuing to target unarmed civilians and infrastructure in the besieged area, which has been under blockade for 17 years.

Amid the ongoing assault, the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) announced that Yahya Sinwar has become its new leader, succeeding Ismail Haniyeh, who was martyred a few days ago.

Hamas stated that Sinwar’s appointment was unanimous and reflects the movement’s awareness of the dangers it faces. The decision also sends a message of resilience to the occupation, reaffirming the continuity of resistance and the unity of their approach.

Meanwhile, in Lebanon, Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah stated that a response to Israel is forthcoming from Iran, Hezbollah, and Yemen, but it will be carried out with caution. Nasrallah’s remarks coincided with escalating tensions along the Lebanese-Israeli Occupation border, where Hezbollah launched drone and rocket attacks, targeting the Golani Brigade and Egoz Unit.

In Gaza, the intensity of battles in the south has escalated. The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, claimed to have ambushed an Israeli Occupation armored unit east of Rafah, targeting two troop carriers and three tanks.

Operation Aqsa Typhoon
On October 7th, the Al-Qassam Brigades launched the Operation Aqsa Typhoon operation in response to Israeli Occupation violations in the occupied Palestinian territories.

In retaliation, Israeli Occupation launched a military operation against Gaza, named “Operation Iron Swords,” conducting a series of intense airstrikes across the region.

These attacks have resulted in hundreds of deaths, thousands of injuries, and extensive destruction of residential buildings, towers, institutions, and infrastructure.

Israeli Occupation Casualties
The death toll among Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) has risen to 689 since Oct. 7, including 329 since the start of the ground operation on Oct. 27. According to the military, 4,272 soldiers have been injured since the aggression on Gaza began, with 637 in critical condition, 1,074 with moderate injuries, and 2,561 with minor injuries.
