Authorities conduct wide-scale anti-narcotics operations in Jordan
Twenty drug dealers and traffickers were arrested today in Jordan, and large quantities of narcotics were seized, according to the Public Security Directorate’s (PSD) spokesperson.
The Anti-Narcotics Department conducted two security campaigns in the southern areas of the capital and in Ajloun Governorate. After gathering intelligence on several dealers, traffickers, and wanted individuals, the first campaign in the south of the capital resulted in the arrest of six people.
The second campaign in Ajloun led to the arrest of nine individuals, along with the seizure of narcotics and firearms in their possession.
The PSD also confirmed that within the last 48 hours, five cases have been handled across various regions of the kingdom.
In the Central Badia, a house storing large quantities of narcotic pills was raided. One individual was arrested, and 29,000 narcotic pills and a firearm were seized.
Additionally, another major drug dealer with 14 warrants against him was arrested in central Badia, with 2,000 narcotic pills, quantities of crystal meth, and a firearm confiscated.
In Mafraq Governorate, two cases were addressed. In the first case, a drug dealer was arrested with 13,000 narcotic pills. In the second case, a drug trafficker was arrested after 8,000 narcotic pills were seized.
