Central bank warns citizens against interacting with suspicious links
The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) warned citizens against engaging with suspicious links or communications requesting personal information.
The CBJ stressed that verification codes are strictly for the user and should never be shared with anyone.
The Central Bank also noted that financial service providers do not call customers to request personal or financial information, such as national ID numbers or financial details, to update e-wallets or conduct financial transactions.
If any issues arise, citizens are encouraged to contact their e-wallet provider by visiting a branch or calling the official customer service number listed on the company’s website.
If unresolved, the CBJ advised contacting the Financial Consumer Protection Department.
