Jordan to experience extreme heat in several areas
Temperatures in Jordan will slightly rise on Wednesday, with highs exceeding the seasonal average by approximately 3-4 degrees Celsius. The weather will be hot in most areas and very hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Northwesterly winds will blow at moderate speeds.
The Meteorological Department has warned against direct sun exposure during peak hours, particularly for those who are ill and the elderly. There is also a heightened risk of fires in forested areas.
On Thursday, the weather will remain hot in most regions and very hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with moderate northwesterly winds that occasionally become gusty.
A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Friday, making the weather relatively hot in most areas. By the evening, conditions will be suitable for outdoor activities, especially in mountainous regions. However, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will continue to experience very hot weather. Winds will be moderate northwesterly, occasionally stirring up dust in desert areas.
Temperatures will rise slightly again on Saturday, with hot weather prevailing in most areas and very hot conditions continuing in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Moderate northwesterly winds will persist, occasionally becoming gusty.
