Woman kills sister during Eid holiday in Jordan
The Public Prosecutor charged a woman in her forties with premeditated murder after she killed her fifty-year-old sister with three stab wounds and struck her head with a small table during an altercation in their home in Tabrbour, Amman, during the Eid al-Adha holiday.
A source close to the investigation revealed to Roya that the sisters argued over what to watch on TV, each wanting to watch different channels. This led the deceased to fetch a knife from the kitchen and attempt to stab her sister.
The source indicated that the accused woman managed to grab her sister’s hand during the scuffle, took control of the knife, and fatally stabbed her sister three times. She then struck her sister’s head with a small table to ensure her death.
The prosecutor decided to detain the killer for 15 days, subject to renewal, in a correctional and rehabilitation center.
