Jordan condemns “Israeli” attacks on Gaza displacement centers
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a strongly worded statement condemning the ongoing “Israeli” targeting of Palestinian displacement centers in Gaza, which has been suffering an unprecedented humanitarian crisis since October 7.
Most recently, this included an attack on a school run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Nuseirat camp, resulting in the deaths of 15 individuals, mostly women and children, and injuring dozens.
Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Sufian Al-Qudah affirmed the Kingdom’s absolute condemnation and denunciation of “Israel’s” continued commission of war crimes and genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
Al-Qudah reiterated that these repeated attacks on humanitarian facilities and shelter centers, which international law mandates must be protected, constitute a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
He emphasized “Israel’s” evident intent to continue violence and reject peace, terrorize civilians, and exacerbate their suffering.
Al-Qudah renewed his call to the international community, particularly the Security Council, to take immediate and decisive steps to halt these crimes and provide international protection for Palestinian civilians.
He stressed that international silence encourages “Israel” to continue committing more crimes and increases the suffering of the Palestinian people.
