Israeli Occupation aggression continues for its 262nd day
The Israeli Occupation’s war machine continued its aggression on Gaza for the 262nd consecutive day, targeting all aspects of life in the devastated region. The death toll has risen to 37,598, with 86,032 injured since October 7, according to the latest figures from the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza.
Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that the intense fighting in Gaza was nearing its end but stated he was not ready to stop the war until Hamas was eradicated. He added on Sunday that his government was preparing for changes in the north but did not disclose any details.
Netanyahu also mentioned plans to establish a civil administration in cooperation with local Palestinians, acknowledging that resettling Gaza was unrealistic. He admitted a failed attempt to give control to Palestinian families and clans in Gaza and hinted at a new undisclosed plan.
In response, Hamas insisted that any agreement must include a clear and permanent ceasefire and a complete withdrawal from Gaza. They emphasized this necessity to thwart Netanyahu’s attempts at prolonging aggression and genocide.
Hamas issued a statement condemning Netanyahu’s position, accusing him of continuing a war of extermination against unarmed civilians in Gaza and seeking a partial agreement to secure the return of some captives before resuming the war. They highlighted Netanyahu’s clear rejection of the recent UN Security Council resolution and proposals from US President Joe Biden, contrary to claims by the American administration of the Israeli Occupation’s alleged agreement.
