United States welcomes appointment of Mohammed Mustafa as Palestinian Prime Minister

In a recent statement, United States National Security Council (NSC) spokesperson Adrienne Watson expressed a warm welcome to Dr. Mohammad Mustafa on his appointment as Prime Minister of the Palestinian Authority.

The United States emphasized the importance of this new government implementing credible and extensive reforms to address the needs of the Palestinian people. The reform process was deemed crucial for fostering stability in both the West Bank and Gaza.

Earlier, the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, a member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, has appointed Mohammad Abdullah Mustafa, as the new prime minister, succeeding Muhammad Shtayyeh.
