Kate Middleton reveals cancer remission
Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, publicly announced her remission from cancer, marking a significant moment in her recovery journey.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, she expressed her “relief” and commitment to focusing on her health moving forward.
I wanted to take the opportunity to say thank you to The Royal Marsden for looking after me so well during the past year.
My heartfelt thanks goes to all those who have quietly walked alongside William and me as we have navigated everything.

Middleton made her announcement during a visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital in west London, where she received treatment. This visit was particularly poignant as it was her first public engagement since her treatment ended.
During her time at the hospital, she expressed gratitude to the staff and empathized with other cancer patients, assuring them that there is “light at the end of that tunnel.”
This marks the first confirmation that the princess is in remission after revealing her cancer diagnosis last March. By September, she announced the completion of her chemotherapy, emphasizing, “Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus.”
Cancer Research UK clarifies that “remission” indicates no detectable signs of cancer after treatment, though it is important to note that some cancers may recur, hence the cautious terminology.
