Jordanian Military thwarts drone smuggling attempt on western border

The Jordanian Southern Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces successfully intercepted a drone attempting to smuggle materials across the western border early Sunday morning.

A military official from the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army stated:

“Border Guard Forces in the Jordanian Southern Command foiled a smuggling attempt involving a drone that tried to cross into Jordanian territory.”

The official added that the drone was detected and tracked, prompting the enforcement of engagement protocols. The drone was intercepted and brought down within Jordanian territory, with the confiscated materials handed over to the relevant authorities.

The official emphasized the Jordanian Armed Forces’ commitment to utilizing all capabilities to prevent infiltration and smuggling attempts, ensuring the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
