‘Israel’ detains Egyptian after alleged border crossing

The ‘Israeli’ military claimed on Tuesday that its surveillance systems detected an Egyptian civilian crossing the border fence from Egyptian territory into ‘Israeli’-controlled territory overnight near Nitzana.

According to a statement issued by the ‘Israeli’ military, troops were dispatched to the location following the alleged breach, where they detained the individual before transferring him to security agencies for further interrogation.

The ‘Israeli’ military further asserted that it views the alleged incident with gravity, claiming it continues to maintain elevated defensive readiness along the frontier while placing the circumstances of the crossing under internal review.
