‘Israeli’ voting begins in first elections since Gaza genocide

‘Israelis’ headed to polling stations on Tuesday to cast their ballots in the first Knesset elections held since the genocidal war on the Gaza Strip and the two wars on Lebanon and Iran.

The race features intense competition between ‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s bloc and the opposition bloc led by former chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot.

The ‘Israeli’ elections committee announced the opening of polling stations and the start of the voting process in ‘Israel’ for the 26th Knesset, according to official ‘Israeli’ radio.

‘Israeli’ media reported that security and emergency forces raised their alert level across ‘Israel’ in anticipation of any emergencies on election day.

A total of 37 parties and coalitions are contesting the ‘Israeli’ elections, amid projections that only 13 of them will secure seats in the Knesset.

Meanwhile, former ‘Israeli’ chief of staff Gadi Eisenkot -competing in elections for the first time- warned of a disinformation campaign targeting the ‘Israeli’ elections to thwart change, forecasting it would escalate as voting approached.
