Heatwave to affect Jordan this week

ArabiaWeather website said that Jordan is expected to experience a heatwave starting Wednesday. A hot air mass originating from the Arabian Peninsula’s desert is expected to affect the country.

Temperatures will rise, reaching 4-6 °C above the average rates for this time of year. The weather is expected to be generally hot and dry, with some clouds at medium altitudes.

Nighttime temperatures will also be higher than usual, particularly in the mountainous areas. The heatwave will intensify on Thursday and Friday, with temperatures increasing by 6-8 °C.

The weather advisory recommends avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, staying hydrated, and being cautious with flammable materials in vehicles. Additionally, children should not be left unattended in vehicles, even for short periods.
