Authorities to tighten control over markets during Eid

Dozens of inspectors will conduct field visits in all markets across the Kingdom during Eid Al-Adha, according to the spokesperson for the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization (JSMO) Salem Al-Jbour.

The inspections will run around the clock in all regions, in light of the increasing demand in markets ahead of and during the Eid holiday.

Jbour told Roya that control is being tightened especially in butcheries and other places that sell meat.

Jbour advised citizens and residents who wish to buy meat during Eid to make sure that sheep scales are placed on flat ground and that the reading is zero before the weight is measured.

He called on citizens to report any violations by calling 065301243 or through the website.
