Ajloun Cable Car to open for visitors Friday

The Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZG) revealed that the Ajloun Cable Car is set to welcome visitors starting from Friday.

The cable car’s take-off station is situated within the Ajloun development area, while the landing station is located near Ajloun Castle.

A total of 40 aerial conveyors will be in operation and could be increased to 60. Each of the aerial conveyors can fit eight people.

The Ministry of Public Works and Housing concluded the project by the end of 2022.

The project was first initiated in January 2019 following Royal directives in hopes of reviving tourism in the governorate. However, the project was put on hold due to the coronavirus crisis.
