Public sector employees will return to work on Tuesday morning after nearly two months of a nationwide closure prompted by the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the Kingdom in early March
Work hours will be from 08:30am to 03:30pm according to a back-to-work manual the government has recently released and communicated to public and private entities, the prime ministry said this evening.
However, the government left the door open to public agencies to adjust work hours as needed. Furthermore, attendance will be prioritized to employees who are from the governorate where the public agency is located. If work necessitates the presence of employees who are from other governorates, the necessary permits shall be issued, the prime ministry added.
With regard to private sector entities allowed operate at full staff capacity, the prime ministry said Tuesday is an official work day. As for other private entities not allowed to resume work at the current stage, the suspension will remain in place until further notice.
