China’s mainland reported 40 new cases from the novel coronavirus in the last 24 hours, of which 8 are imported, but no new deaths were registered, according to the National Health Commission (NHC) on Tuesday
In a daily statement, the NHC said some 27 cases of the 32 new locally transmitted infections were in the capital, Beijing.
The Commission had received reports of 83,221 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland.
