A Palestinian worker was injured, while dozens suffered from severe breathing difficulties after the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) attacked workers at the “Eyal” checkpoint in Qalqilya.
Local sources confirmed that IOF soldiers stormed the area, assaulted a worker and fired stun grenades and tear gas at residents.
The sources added that hundreds of Palestinian workers closed part of Street 55 Tuesday morning, protesting the IOF taking out the buses that transport them to work in occupied Palestinian territories.
The IOF deployed soldiers behind the northern checkpoint of Qalqilya after the workers implemented the road closure.
