Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel have uncovered a murder in which a person of Arab nationality was killed.
CID personnel received information on an Arab national that went missing after entering the Kingdom on August 26, as a special investigation team followed up on that and gathered information about the person since his entry, the Public Security Department (PSD) spokesperson said Saturday in a statement.
All investigations and information gathered since the person entered Jordan led to a suspect who had a friendly relationship with the missing person, as the police circulated a note about the suspect and began searching for him, then he turned himself in to the police station, the spokesperson added.
By interrogating the suspect, he admitted that while he and the Arab person were in the Mafraq governorate, northern Jordan, they had a fight and he strangled him and buried him inside a farm that belong to them, the spokesperson explained.
Then, the suspect told the police about the location of the body and it was exhumed, according to the PSD spokesperson.
