Public holiday declared in Jordan

Sunday, May 25, has been declared by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan as a public holiday in celebration of the 79th anniversary of the Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

All ministries, public institutions, government-owned companies, municipalities, official universities, the Greater Amman Municipality, and joint service councils will suspend operations for the day.

The decision excludes institutions whose work nature requires otherwise.
