‘Israelis’ rally against government in Tel Aviv

  • Dozens protest in Tel Aviv against Netanyahu government and ongoing wars involving ‘Israel’.
  • Demonstrations highlight rising internal disputes over conscription and governance.

Dozens of protesters gathered overnight in Tel Aviv, demonstrating against the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and its ongoing military operations involving ‘Israel’ and southern Lebanon.

The demonstrations come as ‘Israel’ prepares for general elections expected later this year, amid continuing war pressures and deepening internal political and social tensions. One of the most sensitive issues remains military conscription, particularly opposition from segments of the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community who refuse enlistment.

‘Government is a disaster’

Speaking to Reuters, 83-year-old retiree David Alkan criticized the government’s leadership, accusing it of spreading misinformation.

“I’m here to protest against the government, which is a disaster. Our government is going in just the wrong way. They’re feeding the public with fake news, with lies, which we are all against,” he said.

Alkan also pointed to internal divisions as a more serious threat than external adversaries.

“I think that Iran is our enemy, but not the most dangerous enemy. The most dangerous enemy is interior; is the ones who refuse to go to the army and don’t work and don’t pay taxes, and are parasites,” he added.

Protest slogans reflect political anger

Footage from the protest showed demonstrators holding signs reading “Stop the genocide”, “Forget October Seven”, and “Bibi Escobar”, a nickname combining Netanyahu’s name with Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar.

The rallies highlight growing domestic unrest in ‘Israel’ as political fragmentation, military strain, and social disputes converge ahead of a critical election period.
