Crown Prince Al Hussein meets with Japanese Prime Minister in Tokyo

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II met on Thursday with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba in Tokyo.
His Royal Highness conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II to the Japanese Prime Minister, affirming his pride in the strong ties between the two countries and their shared commitment to achieving peace and prosperity in the region and the world.
The Crown Prince praised Japan’s efforts in organizing Expo 2025 Osaka, expressing his best wishes for Japan’s continued success in various fields.
For his part, the Japanese Prime Minister expressed his admiration for the Jordanian pavilion at the expo, which has seen significant turnout and offers a unique experience for visitors.
His Royal Highness expressed appreciation for the role of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in supporting development projects in Jordan in priority sectors such as water and energy.
The Crown Prince also spoke about the initiatives and projects of the National Council for Future Technology, which was established to strengthen digital infrastructure, advanced technology, cybersecurity, and the investment ecosystem.
The Japanese Prime Minister emphasized Jordan’s vital role in supporting regional security and stability and noted the importance of continued cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, both sides stressed the need to push for a ceasefire in Gaza and the resumption of humanitarian aid delivery. His Royal Highness expressed appreciation for Japan’s support for the two-state solution and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, and Director of the Crown Prince’s Office Dr. Zaid Al-Bakain.
