Donald Trump declares victory in 2024 Presidential election
Republican nominee Donald Trump has declared victory in the 2024 United States presidential election, saying he became America’s 47th president after his departure in 2021, in an astounding dominant victory over Vice-President Kamala Harris.
Though, he had not been widely declared as the winner.
Trump from the Mar-a-Lago: “We’ve made history for a reason tonight, and the reason is going to be just that we overcame obstacles that nobody thought possible.”
Trump: “It’s a political victory that our country has never seen before.”
He hailed the “political victory” that the United States “has never seen”
He said that he will help the United States “heal”.
Trump is set to become the second US president to serve non-consecutive presidential terms, the first being Grover Cleveland.
The former president, known for his strong base of support and controversial policies, ran on a platform emphasizing economic revival, immigration reform, and law and order.
Trump is expected to transition into his new role as the 47th US president on Jan. 20, 2025, when the presidential inauguration will be held.
As Trump prepares for his inauguration, his supporters look to celebrate a momentous comeback, while opponents brace for the implications of his leadership.
