China’s National Health Commission (NHC) said Saturday that 17 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases were registered on the Chinese mainland Friday, two of which were domestically transmitted.
No virus-related new deaths were reported over the last 24 hours, the commission said in its daily report.
To date, the total caseload on the mainland has reached 86,601, and the death toll has remained unchanged at 4, 634, according to the report.
