Mercury levels on Monday and Tuesday are expected to hover around the seasonal average, so it will be fair in the mountains and plains and hot in the Badia areas, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Temperatures in Amman for today will range between a high of 33 degrees Celsius during the day and a low of 21 at night, while highs in the port city of Aqaba will climb to 40 degrees, sliding to 27 during night hours, the JMD added.
Mercury levels will drop few degrees on Wednesday, but similar weather conditions will remain, with northwesterly moderate winds, the forecasters predicted.
