Police have arrested a man accused of robbing a bank in the northern governorate of Irbid before two years.
In August 2018, the suspect, wearing women’s clothing, robbed JD9,547 from a local bank in Irbid at gun point and has been at large since then.
Acting on a tipoff, the Public Security Department”s (PSD) Criminal Investigation Division, gathered information about a suspect who was ultimately arrested and confessed to the crime, a PSD spokesman announced on Thursday.
The suspect said he agreed with two accomplices two years ago to rob the bank and did so with their help, the PSD indicated, adding that on one of the accomplices has been arrested, while a manhunt is currently underway to bring the other to justice.
