The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) has announced that the Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) has conducted a series of intensive operations targeting various forms of drug-related activities.

Since the beginning of the week, they have successfully addressed 11 specific cases involving trafficking, distribution, and smuggling across different governorates and regions of the Kingdom, resulting in the apprehension of 22 individuals deemed a threat to society.

One of the most notable cases occurred in Ramtha, where authorities conducted a raid leading to the arrest of an individual linked to international drug trafficking and smuggling networks. A subsequent search of his premises uncovered 350 slabs of narcotic hashish.

In another case in Ramtha, two drug dealers were apprehended after a raid revealed their possession of 110,000 narcotic pills intended for smuggling into a neighboring country. Additionally, in the Northern Badia, two individuals were detained with 6,000 narcotic pills in their possession.

In Irbid, a high-priority individual, classified as dangerous and the subject of 22 arrest warrants, was apprehended. Upon his arrest, authorities discovered quantities of narcotic substances and a firearm in his possession.

In Amman, four cases were addressed. In the first, two drug dealers were arrested while in the process of transporting a cache of narcotic drugs destined for sale in Mafraq. The operation led to the seizure of seven slabs of hashish, 14,000 narcotic pills, and 150 grams of crystal meth.

In the second case, two more dealers were apprehended with 35 slabs of hashish and 5,000 narcotic pills.

The third case involved the arrest of a distributor found in possession of 14 slabs of hashish and 1,000 narcotic pills.

In the latest capital case, seven slabs of hashish and 1,000 narcotic pills were seized from a distributor.

In Mafraq and the Northern Badia, a security sweep targeted wanted individuals, suspects, and drug traffickers, leading to the arrest of nine suspects. The operation also resulted in the seizure of 17 slabs of hashish, 3,000 narcotic pills and two firearms.

At the Al-Omari border crossing, authorities intercepted a freight vehicle arriving from a neighboring country.

Following a tip about a substantial quantity of narcotic pills concealed within, an inspection revealed 150,000 narcotic pills stashed in hidden compartments within the vehicle. An investigation is currently underway involving the driver of the vehicle.

In a northern Badia region, information was received about unidentified individuals stockpiling narcotic substances. Following a thorough search of the area, authorities uncovered 184 slabs of narcotic hashish and 14,000 narcotic pills. An ongoing investigation aims to identify those involved in the case.
