Jordanian Parliament speaker leads delegation to Saudi Arabia

Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al-Safadi is set to depart for Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, along with a parliamentary delegation. The invitation was extended by Dr. Abdullah Al-Sheikh, the Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council, otherwise known as the Consultative Assembly of Saudi Arabia.

Safadi emphasized the strong relations between the two countries, highlighting the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

During the four-day visit, Safadi and the delegation will engage in official talks with Al ash-Sheikh and various committee heads in the Shura Council. The objective is to foster greater consultation, cooperation, and joint parliamentary coordination, focusing on the mutual interests of both countries and central issues affecting the region.

The parliamentary delegation includes Theyab Al-Masaeed, Assistant Speaker of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Jordanian-Saudi Parliamentary Fraternity Committee, as well as members Saleh Abu Tayeh, Muhammad Bani Yassin, Muhammad Ababneh, and Salama Al-Balawi.
