Abu Obaida’s audio broadcast by hackers sparks panic in ‘Israel

  • Hackers broadcast Abu Obaida audio and alarm sirens on Modi’in bus station screens in ‘Israel’, sparking panic.

Palestinian media reported a cyberattack on bus station screens in the settlement of “Modi’in”, inside the occupied territories of Palestine.

Hackers managed to broadcast audio clips of Abu Obaida, the spokesperson for Hamas’s Qassam Brigades, alongside Arabic songs.

The simultaneous broadcast of the messages and real alarm sirens caused panic among residents.

Reports confirmed that the hackers did not limit themselves to audio content; they also triggered actual alarm sirens, creating a state of fear among the settlement’s population.

The incident highlights a rising trend of cyber warfare targeting civilian and critical service infrastructure within ‘Israel’. The use of Abu Obaida’s voice along with the alarms appears to be a deliberate psychological tactic aimed at intimidating local residents.
