Jordanian Armed Forces air defenses intercepted, shot down 10 Iranian missiles targeted Kingdom

An official military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, announced that the air defense systems confronted, at dawn today, Saturday, ten Iranian missiles that entered Jordanian airspace and were targeting the territory of the Kingdom, and they were intercepted and shot down.

The source confirmed that dealing with the missiles was done in accordance with the applicable operational procedures and defensive measures, to preserve the sovereignty of the Kingdom and the security of its airspace, and to ensure the safety of the citizens.

He added that the interception and downing process did not result in any human casualties or material damages, noting that the Royal Engineering Corps teams have commenced their duties at the debris impact sites, and worked on dealing with them and securing them according to the applicable technical and security procedures.

The source pointed out that the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army continues to monitor the Kingdom’s airspace and follow up on various developments, while maintaining the highest levels of readiness and preparedness to deal with any threat according to the applicable rules of engagement.
