Jordan’s armed forces deny claims that Iraq was attacked from its territory, calling the reports false and baseless.
The Jordan Armed Forces on Tuesday categorically denied allegations circulating in media reports that Iraq had come under attack by aircraft and drones launched from Jordanian territory.
A military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces dismissed the claims as “false and baseless,” stressing that Jordan’s position remains firm and unchanged.
“Jordan will not be a battlefield for any party,” the source said, underscoring that the Kingdom will not permit any entity to threaten the safety of its citizens or the security of its land and airspace.
The military source reaffirmed that the armed forces are taking all necessary measures to counter any attempts that could compromise the nation’s security and stability. He added that Jordan would respond decisively to any effort to target the Kingdom.
