- ‘Israel’ Police arrested nine suspects, including Assayag’s son, after seizing the vehicle and finding ammunition inside and an airsoft rifle on an occupant.
‘Israeli’ police have launched an investigation after a vehicle registered to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) was targeted in a shooting in Ashkelon during what authorities suspect was a targeted assassination attempt against Mor Domrani, the son of prominent organized crime figure Shalom Domrani.
According to a report by N12 News, law enforcement confirmed that the targeted vehicle was officially registered to Boaz Assayag, a driver employed by ‘Israeli’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who previously served as a witness in Netanyahu’s ongoing corruption trial.
Media reports noted that the vehicle was not operating as part of the prime minister’s official motorcade at the time of the shooting.
Police investigations revealed that Assayag’s son was behind the wheel of the PMO-registered car, carrying Mor Domrani and additional passengers when rival gunmen opened fire with the clear intention of killing Domrani.
Following the gunfire, the occupants fled the scene in the vehicle together.
The car was later intercepted by ‘Israeli’ police at the Erez Border Crossing.
During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered live ammunition inside the cabin and seized an airsoft rifle held by one of the suspects.
‘Israel’ Police confirmed that nine suspects have been arrested in connection with the shooting, including Assayag’s son.
The PMO-registered vehicle remains impounded by law enforcement as part of the ongoing gangland investigation.
