Jordanian, Egyptian, Iraqi transport ministers seek stronger joint cooperation

The transport ministers of Jordan, Egypt and Iraq held a tripartite meeting on the sidelines of the General Assembly meeting of the Arab Bridge Maritime (ABM) Company, in conjunction with the sectoral ministerial talks hosted by Egyptian capital Cairo within the cooperation mechanism between the three countries.
The discussions went over ways to enhance joint cooperation in all areas of transport, given its “positive” contribution to the movement of passengers, trade, exports and imports between the three countries.
Speaking during the meeting, Jordan’s Transport Minister, Marwan Khaitan, praised Egypt’s role in joint Arab action and its efforts in supporting the ABM, which contributes to building bridges of cooperation between the three countries.

Khaitan stressed the importance of the company as the commercial gateway that connects Asia to Arab Africa, as it plays a “great” role in the joint trade movement and contributes “effectively” to promoting economic integration between the three countries.

Earlier Saturday, the Jordanian delegation participating in the sectoral ministerial talks, held as part of the tripartite cooperation mechanism between Jordan, Egypt and Iraq, arrived in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
