Police on Wednesday evening said that it had arrested candidates for the parliamentary elections that took place on Tuesday, who were involved in calling for rallies and celebrations.
Legal actions against those will be taken candidates, the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said in a statement,, adding that it would deal firmly with all forms of gatherings and using appropriate force to impose the lockdown.
