Minister of Culture, Basim Tweissi, on Monday met with Qatar’s Ambassador to Jordan, Saud bin Jassim Al Thani, for a discussion on renewing the official cultural protocol between the two countries to achieve more prosperity in the cultural, handicraft and traditional industries between the two parties.
Tweissi called for deepening cultural exchange through the exchange of visits and cultural events between the two brotherly countries by participating in various festivals, including the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts.
Al Thani spoke about the cultural awards and events organized by Qatar, including the Katara Prize, which saw significant Jordanian participation, as well as the caricature competition, pointing out to the Qatari efforts in setting up the “Doha Dictionary”, which is an important record that monitors the Arabic language transition throughout its history and was launched two years ago.
